VASSAL Workshop with Vit Dočkal: Learning from a Leading Project Management Expert

The VASSAL project team recently hosted an engaging workshop with Vit Dočkal, a distinguished expert in EU funding and project management. As the Head of the Project Office and Strategic Projects at CIIRC CTU, Vit has led numerous successful initiatives, including TEAMING projects RICAIP and recently funded CLARA, and was named among the Top 10 Most Successful Managers of 2020 by the Czech Management Association.

During the session, Vit shared his expertise and practical strategies on:

• Establishing and managing a high-performing project office focused on strategic and European projects and international collaboration.
• Enhancing institutional competitiveness in research and Innovation within the European and global R&I landscape.
• Increasing the success rate of funding proposals and maximizing funding opportunities.

The discussions provided valuable insights to help the VASSAL team and FIT BUT strengthen their approach to internationalisation and competitiveness within the European research landscape. We are grateful to Vit Dočkal for his inspiring contributions to our efforts.
